2011 turned out to be a busy year for our shrimps. We set up events with the chefs from ‘Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe’, the festival ‘Antwerpen Proeft’ (Antwerp is tasting) and Horeca Life. This year, the new recipe booklet "Enjoy shrimp" was showcased throughout all these activities and through different channels.
Year after year RCA PR is entrusted with the promotion of the North Sea shrimp. For 2011, we suggested developing a recipe booklet. In collaboration with five chefs of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe (Giovani Oosters - Vous le Vous, Jo Bussels - Radis noir, Kristof Begyn - KijkUit, Didier Galet - Didier Galet, Laurent Van de Vijver - Du Four à la Table) this became “Enjoy shrimp". The booklet contains surprising recipes, from simple snacks to sophisticated dishes. It was first presented during the culinary event ‘Antwerpen proeft’, where chef Jo Bussels did his act in the VIP tent. Furthermore, the booklet was blistered in the magazine Libelle Lekker and Visaktua. Afterwards, fishmongers could request multiple copies for distribution in their shop. The recipe booklet was also distributed at Horeca Life and during the jam sessions (called Art of Cooking) of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe. An editorial visit will follow ...
The booklet was widely and enthusiastically received. It is the fine result of close cooperation between different parties: RCA PR, photographer Kris Vlegels, the Nederlands Visbureau and of course the chefs of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe. The fishmongers are requesting additional copies at a high rate, a clear signal that we did a good job!
